I am going to leave this post to mostly photos! Ive had a crazy busy year so far and have had a blast travelling, training, and competing around the world. Started out the season training in Austria, and then went to Finland for a week to train under the lights and it was such a cool experience. The resort we were at Pÿha had lights on the whole mountain as we only got about 4 hours of sunlight a day. After that I went back to Austria for the first europa cup of the year, and it was great to get back to competition after coming back from my injuries. After a few weeks of training in Pitztal we headed to Montafon for the World Cup. I was confident in my riding, and pushed myself on course and was very proud of how I was riding there, but unfortunately took a fall across the finish line on my second time trial and concussed myself again.
I spent christmas at home with family, and then headed to Utah for the Solitude world cup, I didn't get the results overall that I wanted due to tough conditions on finals day. I finished 23rd, but I was stoked to have qualified 16th, and confident in my riding.
This season I took a step back from the World Cup and focused on the Nor Am circuit. I am so happy that I did as it helped me to gain my confidence back racing and to push my riding. Ive had a blast on the tour this year and am so stoked on the level of riding from all the ladies on the Nor Am Circuit. With stops in Tremblant, Craigleith, Sunday River, Cooper, and Big White, I made every big final, and I am currently the Nor Am tour leader which will give me world cup spots for Next Season.
One more race left for me this season in Tremblant for nationals, and I am looking forward to it! Im stoked to have some time at home and to get to ride Fernie with my friends and family!
